EY names Jellyfish CEO Rob Pierre and EVP Managing Director Kevin Buerger as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 finalists in Maryland, US.
We're thrilled that EY has announced that our very own Rob Pierre, CEO and Kevin Buerger, EVP Managing Director are finalists for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Maryland programme.
The awards programme, which is celebrating its 30th year, recognises entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Pierre and Buerger were selected as finalists by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 9, 2016 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.
Rob Pierre, CEO, Jellyfish, comments: Growing Jellyfish from humble beginnings in 2005 to the 300-strong agency that it is today has been both challenging and massively rewarding for me. Our US division has been so successful that it is now the biggest agency within the group bringing $20 million revenue per year. Being recognised in this way by EY is a truly great moment and I look forward to the gala event in June.Û
Kevin Buerger, EVP, Managing Director, adds: We started the US agency in 2009 out of my home office. Now, we have about 80 experts in Baltimore including senior managers across all key service lines, as well as a newly appointed global chief technology officer. Developing the agency to what it is today has been a real privilege. I'm really proud of what we've achieved so far and delighted to be recognised by EY in their Entrepreneur Of The Year programme.
Now in its 30th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme has expanded to recognise business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 19, 2016. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
Founded and produced by EY, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards are nationally sponsored by SAP America, Merrill Corporation, and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
In Maryland, sponsors also include the Baltimore Business Journal, DLA Piper, PNC Bank, SmartCEO, Cushman & Wakefield, Kelly Benefit Strategies and Randstad.
