Jellyfish is pleased to announce the launch of our SEO Penalty Checker tool, designed to help you discover if your site's been penalized by a Google algorithm update.
How does it work?
As a Searchmetrics premium partner, Jellyfish is able to access the Searchmetrics API and extract SEO Visibility data to represent the current trend and historical development of a domain's visibility in search engines. With the historical data, problems (as well as positive changes) can be identified.
We then compare any evident fluctuations for your domain with known changes to the Google algorithm.
Ok, let's go _ step 1
First, you need to request a free account (not because we want your email address!) Actually, we need to ensure that you're a real person (those API calls cost money), and we may also need to ration access to the tool, subject to actual demand.
So, fill in the details and hit Request an account. You'll see this ...
Now, check your email address, you're looking for two emails ...
Email #1 Confirmation of beta account request pending
Email #2 - confirming your account, with details on how to sign in, a bit like this ...
Your Jellyfish SEO Tools account has been activated.
You may now log in by clicking this link or copying and pasting it into your browser:
This link can only be used once to log in and will lead you to a page where you can set your password.
After setting your password, you will be able to log in at:
http://www.jellyfish.net/seo-tools/google-penalty-checker/using your email address and password.
Once you click on the link, you'll see this:
Hit log in. Next, enter and confirm your password, then you can use the penalty checker for the first time:
Hit Create a Snapshot to see if you have been penalized by a Google update:
If youÈd like to create another snapshot, it's easy to use _ just add your domain and region again, and click on Create a Snapshot.
You'll see a graph of your next set of results ...
... which you can then adjust to view either Panda or Penguin updates, or both. You can also easily change the date range, and view more information on Panda and Penguin. Nice!
