This week, I was invited to attend The Drum’s 2014 Digital Census presentation, an exclusive event which highlights the UK’s most successful digital agencies from financial, client approval and peer respect perspectives.
Then, down to business, the data. Awards were presented in categories corresponding to agency size, and a summary of the various polls will soon be available on The Drum’s website. As mentioned above, our story focuses on outstanding and un-matched growth within the Elite digital agency category, with Jellyfish showing 62% uplift year-on-year. To be featured in the Elite group, Jellyfish must (according to The Drum) "not only perform financially, but also have reached high standards of client satisfaction as well as earning respect from their peers." Looking outside the Elite group to the broader 100+ staff category, Jellyfish growth at 62% is also well ahead of the 19% average indicated placing us at number seven in our category.
On a final and overall note, the full survey group’s fee income grew year-on-year from £1.1bn to £1.27bn. During 2014/2015, we expect to make a significant contribution to continuing growth in the sector.
