Jellyfish work for a wide range of exciting clients across the globe. You will be exposed to all types of analytics work, from the technical nuts and bolts of full implementations of analytics platforms like Google Analytics, to web analysis and understanding data trends. Training will also be provided in other disciplines such as SEO, Paid Media, & Conversion Optimisation to help ensure you become a well-rounded digital marketing guru!


  • Plans and implements custom Analytics and tag management solutions
  • Develops and executes on digital measurement frameworks
  • Performs analytics audits and establishes data governance processes
  • Helps organizations collect data and turn insights into actionable recommendations
  • Identifies commercial opportunities & implements innovations
  • Contribute thought leadership collateral pertaining to digital measurement industry

Experience Required

Coming to Jellyfish as an Analytics Executive, we would expect you to have some skills in the following areas. That said, we appreciate it’s unlikely you’re a guru just yet! Ideally you will have some knowledge, and then working with our existing team we will help you to quickly become a fully-fledged expert. Don’t worry if you can’t yet do all of these, just make note it’s what we need you to learn so any existing knowledge will be an advantage:

  • Experience within the digital marketing industry, preferably within analytics and on the agency-side.
  • 2:1 or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
  • Possess GAIQ certification.
  • Possess proven experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL. Exposure to Python/R or other scripting languages highly desired.

Skill Requirements

Google Tag Manager

  • It’s essential that members of the analytics team are able to deal with basic requests unassisted.
  • Knowledge must be improved in order that the employee is able to implement any requests confidently and accurately. This includes:
    • Auto event tracking
    • Data layers
    • Adding pixels such as adwords, google analytics, floodlights, etc.


Testing and validation

  • Must be able to test and validate analytics code. This includes having a good working knowledge of http fox or the chrome developers console (or equivalent) De-bugging and identification of problems is essential.


Google Analytics


  • High level of understanding around the administrative console and common code requirements and configurations.
  • Understands clearly how to configure goals and goal funnels.
  • Understands how to create a good measurement plan for websites.
  • Has a good working knowledge of the platform settings and administration, including native integrations with other Google products.
  • Has a clear understanding of how to implement cross domain and sub-domain tracking.
  • Understands configuration for custom metrics and dimensions.
  • Has a solid understanding of event tracking and how this can be used effectively.


Data analysis & Insight


  • Is able to create clear and insightful reports using data from Google Analytics and other data sources.
  • Competent with data visualisation tools utilised by the agency.
  • Can surface insights from data and make solid recommendations to change campaigns and website.
  • Pro-active to self-learn and make progress.


General Skills


  • Can confidently deal with enquiries around analytics from both internal and external users.
  • An excellent communicator and be able to present ideas, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish influential relationships internally and externally.
