The Digital Copywriter works with the Creative team to plan, create, edit and maintain a consistent language and message across many digital touch points to effectively reach target audiences. This position provides support to the content strategy team to assure quality in the creation of all content across the Agency.


The Digital Copywriter adds value to the Agency by maintaining the consistent messaging and brand voice that is communicated across various channels and markets resulting in a stronger connection with our customers. The Digital Copywriter will modify content so that it is easy to view on all platforms, including tablets and smartphones. This position is an individual contributor who will work closely with several key stakeholders throughout the Agency.


The Digital Content Copywriter works closely with the Head of Creative to ensure that all content created meets the tone of voice for each brand and is in alignment with the overall digital/brand strategy, as well as to establish required content creation schedule and monitor deliverables.


  • Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Contributing to the creation and enforcement of Jellyfish editorial process
  • Participating in initial brainstorming of content ideas/approaches; driving the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
  • Understanding different language styles that appeal to various target markets
  • Writing copy for digital content and advertising campaigns
  • Ability to author long-form content
  • Editing/implementation of changes to content for both accuracy and good digital writing standards
  • Proofreading existing materials for copy clarity and readability, trademarks, registration information, spelling, capitalization, format, branding, regulatory requirements/checklists, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Experience with web markup language and search engine optimization would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with commonly used style guides
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and organized

Skill Requirements

  • BS or BA degree required 
  • A strong portfolio is required, and could feature a variety of media and formats: print ads, digital ad banners, search engine optimized (SEO) web content, blog posts, bylines and direct marketing email.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are vital because you'll be interacting with internal teams and clients. You'll need to explain, sell and defend your ideas, while remaining open to feedback and constructive criticism. Creativity, attention to detail, adaptability and marketing knowledge are also required
