The Role

As a Front of House Receptionist, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting clients, answering office phones, dealing with general office inquiries, ordering consumables and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.

This position plays a varied role in ensuring the smooth, day-to-day running of the Shard office and is heavily involved with the department’s back office requirements and processes. You will also be involved in the organization of internal events that are held in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Meet/greet guests and provide them with refreshments
  • Managing visitor access into the Shard
  • Answering phones, direct and screen calls, taking and relaying messages
  • Accept, sort and distribute post/parcels
  • Communicating any relevant information to the office via e-mail – company announcements, building management information etc.
  • Liaise with 3rd party companies such as security staff, Shard reception, cleaning contractors and maintenance companies
  • Order office refreshments and client meeting lunches
  • Stationery stock control/ordering
  • Completing floor walks to ensure that the office is at it’s highest standard
  • Preparing meeting rooms for internal and external use
  • Ensuring that the pantry and storage cupboards are always tidy and organized
  • Ensure IT requirements throughout the office are met by liaising with the IT Helpdesk
  • Book Shard staff travel and accommodation when required
  • Assisting with office events
