Our training department is one of the fastest growing divisions of the business and we’re looking for an experienced social media expert to join our team as a specialist trainer & evangelist, providing impeccable knowledge, expertise and experience to our customers on a basic and advanced level. Could you be our next guru?

You will need to have in depth knowledge and strong practical working experience of paid social and organic social. The ideal candidate will have run successful campaigns across multiple sectors, with different goals, KPI’s and targets. They will also have a high level of experience in running all aspects of an account, including the campaign planning, practical setup, tracking implementation and reporting.

We need a specialist with guru-like knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Linked in, being up to date on the latest innovations is essential as well as keeping up to date with all industry publications and events. Ideally you will also have experience with social analytics tools, and fully understand how to measure and optimise campaigns.

A key part of this role will be taking ownership of the social media training material being used for both classroom and online courses. You will also be instrumental in helping identify opportunities for new social based courses to add to the portfolio.

You will be delivering face-to-face training to members of the public predominantly from our new training centre located at The Shard in London, but also there will be regular sessions conducted from other locations both within the UK, US, South Africa and some other less frequent overseas destinations.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to build their own profile within the industry, we will be positioning and promoting you as a thought leader and providing time for you to create both written / video content for publication online, creating compelling case studies of work carried out by the agency, leading round-table events, public speaking engagements, hosting events at our training venue and being pro-active in sourcing good opportunities for increasing the awareness of the training proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering in-depth social media training sessions to customers of all levels of experience and knowledge in a clear, understandable and inspiring manner
  • Updating training manuals and creating cutting-edge new course content to ensure that we are always delivering high quality and relevant insight
  • Writing scripts and presenting content to camera for Jellyfish’s series of online training courses & videos
  • Demonstrating use of popular social media tools and software suites and providing actionable advice as to how attendees can leverage these tools within their own campaigns
  • Promoting Jellyfish training services at industry events, within press activity and across the agency’s blog & social channels
  • Working alongside the Jellyfish operations teams to achieve accurate planning and scheduling on a regular basis
  • Being proactively involved in business development and pitching our training services to interested prospects
  • Spending time with peers across the agency to ensure that your knowledge and expertise within social media and other digital channels is constantly growing
  • Identifies opportunities for new courses.
  • Evangelize social media and the training proposition through a combination of online and offline media.
  • Speaking at events & hosting round tables.
  • Responding to post-training questions from attendees.
  • Through the delivery of great training, encourages repeat bookings onto other courses.
  • Through delivery of great training, encourages other non-training work to originate from training clients
  • Provides management reporting to department head when requested and in a timely manner.

Experience Required

  • Experience working with paid and organic social media campaigns, building accounts, running campaigns and reporting results
  • Experience across multiple sectors, using a range of different goals, targets and KPIs
  • Strong general digital marketing knowledge, knowing how different channels assist with the customer journey as well as knowledge of key digital marketing themes such as personalisation and automation.
  • Experience running social campaigns within Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Extremely comfortable presenting, training and public speaking.
  • Previous training experience. You are an engaging presenter and public speaker with strong inter-personal skills
  • Good people skills
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in both organic and paid social activity
  • Knowledge of leading industry software & tools, such as Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Buzzsumo, Google Analytics
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to work to deadlines and budgets
  • Self-motivated and able to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Comfortable in giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Articulate English skills. You must be able to use language persuasively and produce well-constructed training manuals, reports and campaign deliverables
