The Role

The Technical Display Director collaborates across the Display, Paid Media, and Google Partner teams as the lead technical consultant across client implementations of Google Marketing Platforms. In this role, you will support the business through scoping, designing, and building ad tech stacks on behalf of new clients, consulting with existing clients to advance their technology strategy, and supporting technical aspects of our client’s media activation.


The Technical Display Director is an expert in implementation best practice and will guide clients through digital marketing transformation projects. The Technical Display Director develops long-term partnerships with our clients, continuously evaluating their implementations against best practice and innovation to ensure their businesses benefit from that technology and facilitate growth through that relationship.


As a Google Marketing Partner, our business has a strong relationship with Google and knowledge of the Google Tech Stack, therefore the Technical Display Director should have a strong working and technical knowledge of the Google / Doubleclick Digital Marketing Products including Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics 360, Search Ads 360, and be the advocate of that technology and developments within the team and be excited by innovation and technology in our industry.


  • Lead US and global Google Marketing Platform implementation, consulting, and in-housing projects
  • Collaboration with internal teams regarding scoping, planning and deployment of new technology, data, and activation platforms
  • Development of enterprise scale adserver architecture, infrastructure, and integration
  • Development of advanced floodlight, pixel tracking, and data capture setups to empower sophisticated marketing strategies
  • Create, own, and educate the business around best practice and implementation processes including Analytics, Attribution, Search, Display and Social within the Jellyfish Technology Stack, thus benefiting Jellyfish client strategy and client performance
  • Ownership and evolution of our technology auditing process, outputs, and productization of services
  • Collaboration with the Display Team regarding support queries, providing Technical and Troubleshooting support for client use cases
  • Collaboration with the Client Services Team to review existing clients technology on a ongoing basis to consult and provide recommendation for advancement
  • Ownership of the on boarding process including education and documentation for new Campaign Manager and Display & Video 360 clients
  • Representation across internal initiatives, department projects, and steering groups
  • Updating internal and external Google Marketing Platform users regarding new features or best practice within those technologies
  • Collaborate with Data Team and Google directly to empower automation solutions across technology platforms, including Structured Data Files, platform APIs, BigQuery, and Google Cloud
  • Lead data driven creative and technical creative solutions including Google Creative Studio, dynamic creative, sequential messaging, and dynamic creative optimization (DCO) projects
  • Working with senior leadership and department head to review new tech vendors, including POV, scoping, and deploying those technologies across the organization

Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of the Google Marketing Platforms (Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360, Google Analytics 360)
  • Proven ability to deliver technical workshops and training classes remotely and on site to customer teams, confidently sharing knowledge and answering technical questions
  • Strong experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or sales engineer
  • Qualification in Computer Science and some experience of scripting (SQL, BASH, Python) an advantage
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills
  • Strong professional documentation skills
  • Strong understanding of strategic sales process
