The Role

We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to contribute heavily to the strategic planning and execution of key client campaigns plus also be involved in the mentoring of team members across the department’s SEO and organic social offering and delver external training to clients & Jellyfish Training delegates.

The role includes working across a variety of B2C and B2B campaigns to fulfil agreed objectives, working within budget and delivering against KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting in the development of sophisticated SEO strategies which accurately address the objectives and KPIs of clients.
  • Producing comprehensive technical SEO analysis of client websites/assets to facilitate the development of clear, actionable optimization roadmaps.
  • Onsite content audits to identify how client content should be optimized to perform better within the organic SERPs. This may include the adjustment of existing content OR the creation of new pages and web regions.
  • Local SEO and citation management.
  • Troubleshooting and participating in risk mitigation exercises and penalty removal for clients who may have previously conducted black-hat activity.
  • Ensuring that audits, research and landscape investigations are properly utilized to deliver insight-driven strategies. This may include assessing the performance and techniques of competitor websites.
  • Providing an exceptional level of reporting.
  • Assist with research and strategy insights for pitch work within the SEO department.
  • Attending key campaign meetings (internal & client-facing).
  • Working closely with internal Jellyfish staff to develop integrated digital marketing campaigns. This will involve partnering with lead practitioners from the Social, Content,
  • Paid Media, Display, Creative, Development and UX teams.
  • Ideate great content-led ideas that are supported by sophisticated amplification strategies.
  • Articulate strategies to clients in a professional, clear, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ensure that SEO campaigns are meeting budgets and deadlines.
  • Provide SEO training to internal teams and clients.
  • Deliver external SEO training as part of the Jellyfish Training Department.
  • Assisting in the scheduling of monthly activity on allocated campaigns and reviewing progress throughout the month.


Deliverables

  • Demonstrates measurable success through the achievement of set KPIs. E.g. account turnover and profitability, campaign management, report generation/analysis and overall service.

Experience Required

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Experience working within SEO & social media.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Results and value focused.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry software & tools, including BrightEdge, Ahrefs,
  • SearchMetrics, Majestic, CognitiveSEO, BuzzSumo, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Highly competent in Google Docs, specifically Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple campaigns, tasks & team members.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both individually and as part of a team.
